Remove vocals from audio or video

Voixie Vocal Remover separates a recording into vocal and instrumental tracks, with additional stems where available. Use it to prepare a backing track, examine a voice recording or work on a soundtrack you have permission to edit. Separation quality depends on the original mix.

How to separate vocals and music

  1. 1.

    Upload a clean source

Start with the best-quality audio or video you have. Heavy compression, reverb and overlapping sounds make clean separation harder.

  2. 2.

    Run separation and compare tracks

Generate the separated tracks and preview the vocals and instrumental parts. Listen for remaining speech, missing instruments and changes to transients.

  3. 3.

Choose the output for your project

Use the vocal or backing track that suits your edit. Audio, video and stem downloads require a paid web plan. For translated speech over a video, continue with the dubbing workflow.

Vocal removal questions

Can I remove a voice from a video?

Yes. Upload an MP4, MOV or other video, or paste a YouTube or Google Drive link. Voixie separates the soundtrack into a vocal track and an instrumental track, with additional stems where available. Preview the result to check whether the voice is reduced enough for your project.

Will the instrumental track be completely free of vocals?

Not necessarily. Reverb, harmonies and sounds that overlap with the voice may leave artifacts. Listen to a representative passage before relying on the whole track.

Should I use Vocal Remover or video dubbing?

Use Vocal Remover to separate an existing mix. Use dubbing when you want to translate and replace spoken dialogue. Background restoration in dubbing is a separate option.

How much does vocal removal cost?

5 credits per minute of audio, billed in 15-second steps. New accounts get 50 free credits to try it. Downloading the separated tracks requires a paid web plan.
